I chose this clip from one of my many conversations staring back in 2017. Alice who obviously is an immigrant, and of long standing, struck a cord with me talking about pain. She came from a country where people suffered without freedoms, and she could see the changes coming here.
We are entering a significant period in the history of our country. I think that has become clear and how we respond and act will contribute to that history as it unfolds. The question might be, are we feeling pain yet, or do we wait until it is unbearable.
